Sonderkommando

We all know the effects of World War II, and other wars along history.

Sonderkommando is a story written by Gar Metz, that describes the environment related to World War II, and how a huge amount of people died, gallons of spilled blood, and slavery.

The protagonist is a boy, who gets separated from his father. He is forced to do some tasks.

He must carry and incinerate the corpses, and clean the chambers.

One day, he met with the girl who saved him from starving that day in Amsterdam, he forgot his lunch, and the girl gave him a sandwich and said: "You need it more than I do".

Because of this event, the guy decides to be grateful and decides to agree to deal with the general or the lieutenant and die instead of the girl.

I decided to write about this story because the author cares about telling every aspect of the cruel treatment the Nazis gave to these innocent people.

Behind the linguistical and historical approach, I love the way the author describes such a meaningful theme, of being grateful, kind, and caring about people who is actually in need, while correlating with World War II.
